CHECS is delighted to announce that APHA have advised that they are able to re-start providing the 10 year TB history for new CHECS TB Accreditation Scheme applicants from Monday 12th December. Please note that response time may initially be a bit longer, if there is a surge in applications, until the number of applications has dropped to ‘pre-pause’ levels.

APHA had to pause its support of the CHECS TB Herd Accreditation scheme in May this year due to unprecedented work pressures. The programme requires APHA – upon herd managers’ permissions – to notify administering health schemes of the herd’s last TB breakdown so that herd status can be determined.

Earned recognition is attached to CHECS TB Herd Accreditation status, and therefore it is critical to the UK’s ongoing fight against Bovine TB that this was resolved and APHA’s support is reinstated.
