Keith has been a cattle vet practising in the central south and south-west of England since he qualified from the Bristol University Veterinary School in 1990. During this time, in addition to his clinical work involving all aspects of routine and emergency bovine medicine, surgery and health planning, he has studied for and gained diplomat status of the European College of Bovine Health Management and worked with many national cattle health initiatives including BVDFree England, Action Johne’s and the Ruminant Health and Welfare Group. He is a past president of the British Cattle Veterinary Association and a recipient of the Farmers Weekly Livestock of the Year Award.
Keith has a particular interest in infectious disease diagnostics and control on an individual animal and herd level and after several years on the CHeCS board and involvement with the CHeCS Technical Group he now chairs the Technical Group.
