James Russell - CHECS Director

James has worked as a farm animal vet in the Midlands since 2003. He recently stepped back from clinical practice to pursue his interest in infectious disease on farm, focussing particularly on bovine TB. After his term of office as President of the British Veterinary Association, the largest representative body for UK vets with over 18,000 members, James has now taken a role teaching veterinary students at Nottingham Vet School, and continues to work with government through the Animal Health and Welfare Board for England and TB Partnership, as well as sitting on the Red Tractor board as a Veterinary Director.
